In this two-day course, we will cover everything about dispatching fire and EMS services. We will discuss the things Telecommunicators may hear over the radio but not understand. These include types of vehicles, tools, equipment, requests for help from other agencies, and more. We will also cover Mayday calls and how to keep Fire and EMS personnel safe, similar to law enforcement officers. On the second day, students will have hands-on activities. We will visit the local Fire Department and see what we learned in the classroom. We will look at vehicles, use tools, and even meet the crew of the local medical helicopter. This course is perfect for dispatchers who want to learn more about fire and EMS services.

This is a two-day course. The first day is classroom training and the second day would be hands-on training.

Finally, we will learn how to create a schedule that provides 24-hour coverage while considering employee well-being.

In this course, we will talk about the mental well-being of the people we talk to every day. We will learn how to recognize different mental health issues like Schizophrenia, Bipolar disorder, OCD, Depression, Autism, and others. In the afternoon, we will focus on our own mental health as Telecommunicators and responders. We will discuss the higher suicide rates among first responders and ways to identify those signs. We will also learn about the symptoms of PTSD, C-PTSD, and other mental health conditions that we might experience in our profession. This is a popular and highly regarded course at a national level.
